Based between Chicago and Los Angeles, Sam Shuhan holds the positions of Assistant Principal Bass in the Lyric Opera of Chicago and Principal Bass in the Santa Barbara Symphony. Shuhan is a multifaceted musician who enjoys a varied career as a performer, studio musician, producer, and composer. He has played on numerous Hollywood film/tv scores including Avatar: The Way of Water, Avatar: Fire and Ash, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, and has collaborated as a producer/songwriter with artists such as Max Childs, Jackson Breit, Bravo, Liza, and Jordan Parker.
Shuhan works closely with producer, Carneyval, writing original music for sync licensing. Their music has been used by T-Mobile, Apple, Netflix, Hulu, and featured in the video games NBA 2K22 and 2K25.
As a film composer, he has worked closely with director Naum Milyavskiy, scoring his most recent documentaries, Comedy Family Style and Hear, Falcon.
